Silicium Guides Produced using some of the strongest and lightest materials available, Shimano Silicium (SiC) guides are incredibly light, ensuring minimal friction for perfect casting, presentation and fish playing. The Shimano Tcurve process combines special graphite cloth with a revolutionary resin formula and manufacturing technique. The three-ply weave undergoes a clinical curing process to produce a unique ‘Dynamic’ blank with massive pressure thresholds.
Unlike others, Tcurve resin molecules retain elasticity after the manufacturing process. The outcome is 20-40% more compression resistance than regular carbon, meaning any Shimano rod bearing the Tcurve logo packs significant hidden power reserves, perfect for specimen fishing and commercial carping.
