The Carp-Talk Awards (an initiative of the British Carp-Talk carp fishing magazine) were voted for by the public and 2186 people voted in total. The awards have been running for a total 5 years and are voted for by the UK Carp angling consumer, giving a true representation of what core UK anglers want.

From the 1st until the 3rd of June EFTTEX, the annual trade show organized by the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA), took place in Paris.
At EFTTEX each company is entitled to enter a maximum of 4 different products into the Best New Product competition. The competition is judged by a panel of independent experts during EFTTEX 2012.
Last year Shimano was awarded in the categories Best New Fixed Spool Reel and Best New Braid categories, this year they were honoured receiving the same awards again!

One of Europe’s largest bait manufacturers, Dynamite Baits Ltd., is pleased to announce that it has granted exclusive distribution rights to Shimano Europe Fishing Holding B.V. for the Benelux and Germany. This allows the Shimano sales offices, Shimano Germany Fishing GmbH and Shimano Benelux Fishing Tackle, distributing the DYNAMITE BAITS and ACE brands in their respective territories as of January 1st 2012. Shimano will offer the extensive range of Dynamite and Ace products to over 700 shops in the Benelux and Germany.
