Shimano Europe Group donates € 50.000 to Make-a-Wish Nederland Foundation
Last Saturday at the Open Day of SHIMANO Europe Hans van Vliet, Corporate Communication Officer at SHIMANO, handed out a cheque of € 50.000 to the Make-A-Wish Nederland foundation.
Every year SHIMANO Europe Group donates to charity. SHIMANO asks their employees to suggest to which foundation they should donate the money. This triggers SHIMANO employees to select charities who use the donation for causes that match the values of SHIMANO. Out of all good suggestions SHIMANO’s management picked the idea of Andre Branten, Sr. Finance & EBS Manager. He suggested the Make-A-Wish Nederland foundation.
Make-A-Wish fulfills wishes of children between 3 and 18 years old that have a life threatening disease. Since 1989 they fulfilled the wishes of more than 4.000 sick children. With the donation of SHIMANO Europe Group Make-A-Wish is able to fulfill the magical wishes of numerous little children.
