Shimano wins EFTTEX award for "Best New Spinning Reel"
Last weekend EFTTEX (the annual trade show organised by the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association) took place in Budapest (Hungary) and, like every year, a competition was held for the best new products.
For the third consecutive year Shimano was honoured with the top award for "Best New Spinning Reel", for the Stella SW. Shimano also received the same award in 2008 for the Aero Technium Mgs XSA and in 2007 for the Stella FD.
The EFTTEX jury commented that this was a reel truly "built to last".
Shimano was also succesful in other categories being awarded Runner-Up for the Diaflash XT-A Spinning Rod (Best New Non-Fly Rod category), and for the Curado E (Best New Baitcasting Reel category).
Craig Brew, Shimano UK's MD commented, "we are proud to have our reels officially recognised as the best in Europe and the fact we've received this award for three consecutive years is testament to the quality of our engineering and the work put in by 'Team Shimano' to make such fantastics products".
