Shimano support angling4acatch event
Shimano were once again proud to sponsor this four day event organised and run by Nick Oakley (angling4acatch) on behalf of the Forest Of Dean Angling Club, which this year took place between the 28th and 31st July. Coinciding with the National Fishing Week, and enlisting the help of two professional angling coaches, Nick and the team organised 8 x 3hr sessions, with 10 children attending each session.

7 year old Bailey Brooks

Bailey, pictured above, also attended last years event. He caught the carp on a 4 metre short pole fitted with number 8 elastic. Bailey caught 17 fish in the session and this was his PB.

"This is a great event" commented Craig Brew, Shimano's MD, "these children are the future of our sport and all credit must go to Nick and his team for all the hard work and effort they put into the event."
